Cultural Market on Wheels is an urban innovation proposal made for Fu Yang Park in the historical city of Handan, China. Its meaning has two folds: First, “On Wheels” indicates Handan as a dynamic city that embraces cutting-edge technology and grows very fast; It also refers to the spatial configuration of this design which in itself is mobile and dynamic. We hope to bring a playful tone to the public services. The design aims to provide a culturally creative space that serves all ages and all people.

The design consists of the following elements: Retail booths at the entry plaza of the park, shadow stage in the park that hosts traditional shadow play performances, and interactive installation near the water that helps monitor and improve air quality.
