The restaurant is located on Tremont Street in downtown Boston, next to Boston Common. Since the late 19th century, buildings along the street have accommodated a range of public-facing commercial uses, including galleries, shops and restaurants. The client is a Canadian restaurant franchise, and the project marks the brand’s first location in the United States.

The 1,580 sq ft (146 sq m) project occupies a street-level commercial space previously used as a fast-casual restaurant. The renovation includes both the front-of-house dining area and the back-of-house kitchen, while upgrading the existing restaurant infrastructure to support the operational requirements of the new establishment. In the dining area, seating and bar spaces are arranged along the long, narrow floor plan to create clear circulation within the limited frontage and depth of the space. In the kitchen, the existing infrastructure was retained where possible, while the exhaust hood system was upgraded and the equipment layout was reconfigured to accommodate the new menu and service requirements.
