Guangzhou, China
Winter Workshop, 2025

Gardener’s Shed is a design-build workshop project scheduled for winter 2025 at the lakeside of Mirrored Gardens in Panyu District, Guangzhou, with a 5–7 day on-site construction period. The site is a trapezoidal terrace measuring 8m in length, with a 2m-wide entrance narrowing to 0.75m at the far end, sitting 1.2m above the surrounding farmland with terrain rising slightly from left to right. The design anchors its height to the tallest existing plant, limiting the building to approximately 1.9m to respond to the surrounding vegetation.
