Glass Ripples Brookline Store

Commercial Storefront Tenant Space Fitout
Brookline, Massachusetts, U.S.
Ongoing. Completion 2026 (est.)

Glass Ripples is a designer lifestyle store specializing in glass and ceramic goods. Through its distinctive retail approach and long-term collaborations with independent designers, the brand has established a recognizable design community in Boston. The owner commissioned us to design its new location in Brookline. Located along Harvard Street within one of the area’s main commercial districts and a historic neighborhood, the project occupies approximately 920 sq ft (85 sq m). The front of the space is dedicated to retail, while an interactive glass-making workshop is positioned at the rear. The design reinterprets conventional product display as a more exhibition-like retail experience. A kitchen-like setting forms the main display environment, introducing familiar domestic elements such as countertops, sinks and tiles, with glassware and other products integrated throughout. Rather than encountering the objects on isolated display shelves, visitors can use these everyday elements as points of reference, experiencing the products within spatial relationships closer to those of a domestic setting and gaining a more immediate sense of their scale, color and material qualities.
