The project employs modular, mobile "reading/display pods" to respond to Tai Kok Tsui's lost pier and coastline. The design comprises three key functions: reading pods with a community mailbox, offering quiet reading space and neighborhood information exchange; operable display panels and revolving shelves for local craftsmen and artists to showcase metalwork, old films, and woodcuts, creating a living archive of community culture; and additional seating with shading to encourage rest, conversation, and gathering. The modular design enables flexible configurations and easy transportation, with a future plan for city-wide relocation to serve diverse communities equitably. Through spatial storytelling of collective memory, the installation re-weaves the social fabric of Tai Kok Tsui.
